Network Engineer (Administrator) in Imunar Pvt. Ltd
We’re seeking a Network Engineer with hands on Cisco networking experience. This is a mid level network engineer role and will be play as a lead in our 24×7 network operations center (NOC)
* Daily operational hands-on network duties working with Layer 1-3 switching, TCP/IP, OSPF, HSRP, and load balancing (Cisco Switches and Cisco Router)
* Demonstrated experience with routing and switching VLANs, tunneling, spanning tree and trunking
* Document the current and future network architecture and technology
* Strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of delivering complex solutions using industry best practices and methods
* Develop reliable network monitoring and alerting to manage traffic and troubleshoot network issues effectively using monitoring tools
* Evaluate the current network topology and identify specific initiatives to pursue in support of the strategic network architecture
* Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation
* Develop, monitor, and report the appropriate metrics to measure network performance and availability and to identify necessary improvements.
Required Skills:
BS / MS in Computer Science, EE or any other Engineering discipline.
2-3 years as a Network Engineer or an equivalent position.
Intermediate networking certifications (CCNA and/or CCNP).
Proven background and experience in designing, monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise wide area networks.
Ability to prioritize projects and deliver on commitments.
Monitoring design, network analysis and metric reporting to establish bandwidth usage forecasting and network availability.
Layer 3 Experience OSPF Routing including route redistribution, Multihoming and engineering for automatic failover.
Advanced troubleshooting skills and effective troubleshooting methods including
Layer 1 (copper cabling issues/ fiber signal strength),
Layer 2 (spanning tree, vlan tagging, mac address tracing) and
Layer 3 (routing issues, OSPF, BGP redistribution and attribute studying, prefix length issues).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous projects.
simultaneously; with a great attention to detail, operates with urgency, focus and discipline.
Excellent interpersonal skills; someone who is likable, a team builder and has the personality to be effective across multiple divisions.
